Privacy, in plain English.

The short version: we set no tracking cookies, run no ad trackers, and never sell data. We keep your email only if you ask for price alerts (double opt-in, unsubscribe any time), and we count searches and clicks anonymously so we can make the app better. Our Amazon links are plain links — no affiliate tag, no commission; the site runs mostly on Ko-fi tips. If eBay or Walmart links ever earn us a commission, they'll be clearly labeled "(paid link)".
What we collect, and why
- Your email — only if you create a price watch. We use it exclusively to send the alerts you asked for (plus the one confirmation email). No newsletters, no marketing, no sharing. Every alert includes one-click links to stop a single watch or unsubscribe from everything.
- Feedback you send us — your message, and your name/email only if you choose to include them. Feedback is only shown publicly if you tick the opt-in box and a human approves it.
- Anonymous usage numbers. We log search terms (so we know what to improve), which retailer links get clicked, and page-visit counts. None of this is linked to you — no account, no cookie. IP addresses are used transiently for rate-limiting and routine server logs, never linked to your searches or watches.
- Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider keeps routine access logs for security and debugging.
What we don't do
- No advertising trackers, no tracking pixels, no data brokers, no selling or renting anything.
- No tracking cookies from us. Visit counting uses GoatCounter, a privacy-first counter that works without cookies and without identifying you.
- Your saved searches and watch-management token live in your own browser's storage — we never see or transmit them beyond serving your requests.
Affiliate links (the honest part about money)
We're not in the Amazon Associates program. Our Amazon links are plain product links — no affiliate tag, no commission, nothing attributed to us. (Amazon doesn't allow affiliate sites to run price alerts, so we chose the alerts.) If eBay or Walmart links ever earn us a commission — applications are pending — those links will be labeled "(paid link)" and never change the price you pay. If you click through to any retailer, that retailer's own privacy policy and cookies apply on their site. We don't receive any information about who you are or what you buy; we only see anonymous counts of clicks leaving our site. The rest is Ko-fi tips from people the site has saved money.
Your choices
- Stop alerts: every email has "stop this watch" and "unsubscribe from alerts" links, or delete watches on the site with the × on any watch chip.
- Delete your data: email us and we'll remove your watches, identity record, and any feedback you submitted — usually within a few days.
